OVERVIEW
Tradewind is a 1978 Endeavour 37 ketch with the owner's version "Plan A" interior. The current owners bought Tradewind in 2012. She had been sitting for a while with an inoperable engine. They found a rebuilt engine almost immediately and installed it, and ever since Tradewind has been busy traveling all over Galveston Bay and to Port Arthur, Texas several times, both in the ICW and offshore.
She is a well mannered boat that sails effortlessly both in the bay and offshore. Her ketch rig means she heels less than similar sized sloops and gives her more options for sail plans to face any kind of weather. She easily reaches her hull speed of 7.3 knots in 15 knot winds. Under power she uses about 3/4 gallon of diesel per hour, but she is a bit slower moving along at around 6 knots at 1800 rpm.
Having put hundreds of miles under her keel, her owners have found a larger boat more suited for extended travels around the world and now they reluctantly have to sell Tradewind. She has been loved and enjoyed immensely by her current owners and they hope her new owner or owners will love and enjoy her just as much.

LAYOUT
Tradewind has a spacious open floor plan made for entertaining and relaxing aboard. Entering from the large cockpit down the companion way, the enclosed owner's double berth is on port with a guest double berth on starboard. The owner's berth has a hanging locker, a chest with two drawers and a seat with storage and two drawers under the berth. It has a large opening port with a screen and a small opening hatch overhead.
Forward of the guest berth is the navigation station with a large teak opening top desk. A U-shaped galley is starboard with a three-burner propane stove and oven, double sink, 120v/12v refrigerator and a 700 watt microwave. The head is directly across on port.
A roomy saloon features a U-shaped settee with table. The leaves fold down for room and the entire table drops to make a king-sized bed. Forward of the settee is a very large storage area, then continuing forward there is another spacious storage area just aft of the chain locker.
