Boat Name: Moxsun
Year: 1980
Size: 43' ketch
Date Purchased: 1997

Boat History:
There have been severial different owners, certianly the most intresting was a FBI agent and a professinal baskest ball player the third owner we know little about, we are her fourth owners.

Experience:
We have taught sailing professionally and I am a professional captian. We have sailed extensivly in northern waters as well as some offshore experience. We are live aboards from April to November and are getting ready to cruize in warmer waters in about 2 years or less. We have sailed most of our adult life and look forward to retirement cruizing!

Boat Review/Upgrades:
Because she is new to us, we are still learning her characteristics. However, as we are in the middle of a essentially a total refit, let me tell you, we are getting to know her! The general construction we are extremly pleased with. She has not seen much maitiance in some time. We have been taking things apart and I am impressened with the quality of her original equipment. Most everthing has been able to be rebuilt, rather than replaced. We are pretty well down to the final stages of refit. We have not found any major problems and generally everthing is logically assembled and realitivly easy to work on. Access has been good, and systems are well laid out. If anyone wants particulars on what I have learned, I would be more than willing to share this.

Any one want to talk aboult doing refitts on 18 yr. old boats?
