Boat Review/Upgrades:
Great Cruising Boat. Too Heavy for some of Lake Erie's light days. Boat has a lot of Weather Helm in heavy air, but tracks like a dream in 10-15 knots under a 150 and full main.

The boat had a few initial defects that turned out to be a pain. There was excessive flexing of the port upper shroud chainplate. This caused caulking failures where the chainplate entered the deck. Because the interior cabinetry was so tightly fitted, internal damage went unoticed for a few years. Eventually I needed to replace the Port Bulkhead, not an easy chore.

Second issue has to do with the wiring Conduits installed under the floorboards. They are great, except no care was taken to insure they would drain if excess water entered the bilge. I had a cutlass bearing failure (Zebra Mussels) that let in a lot of water, bilge filled after the batteries died, I drained it, and found no damage, except about three weeks later the boat stunk. I found the hoses full of stagnent water.

Last one, the foward head holding tank was cross-linked poly. Normally a very good material unless it gets scratched or banged. Somehow, the upper edge cracked, and it resulted in internal discharge of waste while on a cruise.

Otherwise, an excellent boat. We cruise about 700 miles a year, and day sail whenever possible.
