Boat Review:
We purchased the boat in January 2001 and have upgraded several systems including: new battery charger; new refrigerator; new bilge pump system; a new color scheme (the old brown trim had to go). The maiden voyage from Hingham to Salem was perfect, until we realized that the engine was stuck in forward gear. It turned out to be a broken bolt holding the shifting bushing. The boat sails very well with the ketch design, although there is weather helm. I have read how other owners have tried to alleviate this problem and have yet decided on a course of action. We have the bowsprit version which I understand helps. The ketch design is great is heavy air, as you can reef the main and keep the mizzen going. The interior A-plan is wonderful. It makes the boat feel much bigger than a 37 footer.

Winter projects will include: complete exterior wood work; new oven; some interior wood work; auto pilot; and other cosmetic items. I am also considering an auto-prop to cure the excessive prop walk to port. We are forced to back to starboard out of our slip and have perfected the wife walking the bow down the dock maneuver.

Overall, the boat is great.
