Boat Review:
The E37 has served us very well and was found to be very accessible for maintenance and putting in improvements. After 24 years is still very much like new. Major work has been replacing most of the portholes and some panelling, installation of a neopreen boot the make a good seal where the main mast enters the cabin, replacing the Perkins 4-108 by a new and much lighter and quiter model MC-42, installing davits, adding a furling 130% genoa, and the usual electronic gadgets like radar, SSB, GPS etc. In general the boat has performed very well at sea, especially down wind, in heavier seas one disadvantage is that with head on winds and waves, the bow seems to miss buoyancy. Otherwise it sails very well also in light winds when using a cruising chute or spinnaker.
