1984 Endeavour 33

Name: Jim & Jane Salter jsalter@mylink.net
Boat Name: Lady Jane
Year: 1984
Size: sloop
Date Purchased:1995

Boat History:
The prior owners, Heidt & Page Adams, had the boat for about 8 years. It was purchased on Lake Lanier, near Atlanta and stayed there docked at their house except for a few months when he and his new bride, Page, shipped it to Jacksonville and spent their honeymoon on her in the Bahammas. Her name then was 'NDEVR'.

I re-named her 'Lady Jane' and kept her on Lanier at Sunrise Marina until Jan. '97 when we shipped her to Savannah. From there we sailed to the Abacos where my bride of 25 years and I spent about 5 months. We then sailed her to Canaveral and up the ICW to McIntosh County (which is just South of Savannah). She has been there about 9 months.

Experience:
Jim- Grew up in Savannah, sailing an aquacat and a mutineer. Several schools with "Off Shore Sailing School and several flotillas with them to BVI and the Windward Islands. Crewed on a 47 Footer in Mr. Black's flotillia from Newport Va. to Bermuda and back. A bit of Lake sailing on Lanier and the trip to the Abacos and back.

Jane - Offfshore's Preparation for Bareboating course at Captiva, Bareboat chartering in the Virgin Islands and between Ft. Lauderdale and the keys. and the Abaco cruise on LJ.

Boat Review/Upgrades:
This boat is almost perfect for us - it was love at first sight. It is a bit slow for racing, but that is probably the fault of the captain and the old sails. The exterior is easily maintained and we think the interior is beautiful. The prior owner made some very nice changes to the interior and kept it in first class shape. He used the door to the forward berth and the former pull down table to build a gimbaled two leaf table with storage in the pedestal whiich is extremely functional and quite lovely. We have no place for wet foul weather gear, so it ends up in the head or or in the way in the salon. Former owner also added a swim platform on the stern and it makes boarding the dinghy very easy.
