1st owner: (1980-2000) Brack Jones, Beaumont, TX.

Experience:
30+ years off and on. I've had 5 or so previous sailboats indluding a 20' Flying Dutchmann and a 26' Columbia along with two MacGregors years ago.

Boat Review/Upgrades:
I didn't intend on buying a sailboat since I already have a 26' motorboat. A friend wanted to go in as partners and after sailing the boat several times have recently renewed my interest. While our boat needs some necessary maintenance at this time, I am quite impressed with the workmanship and detail in the boat. The quality is definitely there! For its size it is quite fast. The Edson steering seems to have play in it, however, that may be that it just needs some adjusting that hasn't been looked at yet. The teak work in the interior is impressive. I had the boat pulled out this week for a bottom job and they found one blister the size of a quarter that didn't seem to be too bad since it hadn't been hauled for over three years. Will advise on further developments.
