Teak Ply Source
Date: September 3, 2001 I have found a place in Detroit that says they will custom make on marine grade 1/2" base 1/8 x 2 3/8 teak and 1/8 x 1/4 Holly. They tout a big wholesale discount for a run of just 10 Sheets. Since only 5 are needed to redo the entire 42 sole, IS THERE ANYONE WHO WOULD LIKE TO GO IN ON THE ORDER? I don't have the price quote, but don't think bargin. It was all I could do to find a source that didn't say 1mm, 1mm, 1mm veneer. Would welcome any other sources for "thick" veneer. If you have any addresses for other boat forums, i.e., Catalina, Erickson, etc, please forward. Just FYI in the continuing renovation saga, I have followed in the steps of BACCUS and cleansed my bilge of two tanks. What a smelly mess secreted down there. Will have a REAL bilge when done.
