Tabernackle for E32

A mechanical tabernackle for a 38 foot mast for an Endeavour 32. Consists of an aluminum structure about 4 by one by one foot structure in which the mast sits. A cable from a 12 volt winch mounted on the aft side of the mast runs from the winch, around a turning block or sheeve mounted in the mast back to an anchor near the winch. Projects necessary to do: Strengthen about six feet of the bottom of the mast with a wood plug or metal bracing.

Install the turning block in the base of the mast.
Install a bushing in the mast for the axel or pivot.
Connect 12 voltpower supply.

The original owner of Windcatcher lived in Spring Lake Michigan behind a fixed bridge. Every time he went sailing he detached his forestay, setup the mast crutch, pressed the button on the control and down came the mast (slowly). All parts are included except possibly the bushings for pins and axel which are intalled in the mast and I don't know if I can remove them. Email me at generohl@yahoo.com for pics pictures and more info. The owner had a machine shop and produced a fine apparatus. Said he spent thousands
on the project.
