Further Information

Both water and fuel tanks have been taken out, cleaned and epoxyed, large white awning is provided. Upper deck has been painted December 09. Sale includes an electric sewing machine.

Available for sale now. Can be viewed in Nelson’s Dockyard, Antigua, (Afloat) from April 2011—during Antigua sailing week and the Antigua classic regatta, owner onboard after passage from Trinidad. Reason for sale: owner and wife now in their 70's and to their dismay confronted with age related medical conditions that make continuing impractical.

Bob's Joy is a good example of a desirable classic ocean cruising yacht that is fitted out to a high specification. Her heavy displacement, long keel, large volume with generous stowage makes her ideal for cruising. With a ketch rig, roller reefing on the jenny, wheel steering, auto helm, and many extras she provides a rare opportunity to own a Caribbean based cruising yacht. As the owners can testify she is ideal for an adventurous retirement lifestyle. For a younger generation opportunity to charter in the Caribbean, or attach to a large hotel for their guests to charter.

For many years now the owners have sailed up and down the Caribbean Islands between Puerto Rico and Venezuela for six months of each year. For five months of each year the yacht is stored covered ashore in Trinidad, south of the hurricane belt while the owners take leave in Europe during the summer. Bob's Joy is English registered on the small ships register (SSR22803).
