The current owner of Solitaire is selling this most special boat due to the Captain’s recent heart attack while cruising in Trinidad.  To make matters worse, his mate left him and took with her the sails, sail covers, couch cushions and pretty much anything that moved.  I love this boat but it is time to sell her either “as-is” or with the missing equipment replaced.  This is a fantasic opportunity for someone to get a great deal on a wonderful boat.

Solitaire         

The Endeavor Corporation built solitaire in 1981.  Her hull number is 181.  The boat has had three owners.  We are the third owners.  The boat is documented with the US Coast Guard, US Department of Transportation.  The current owner is Solitaire, Inc., a privately owned corporation of John Goslin.  Solitaire was purchased in November 1998.  The boat had been on the hard for several years and was in need of significant cosmetic repairs and updating.  John spent many, many hours both working and supervising the rehabilitation of this incredible boat.  At times, there would be 6 to 8 workers on the boat at the same time.  Some of the improvements include the following along with the approximate date of each improvement.

11/15/98 — All through hull valves were removed, repaired, and resealed in the hull.
12/01/98 — new magnetic compass installed.
04/01/00 — New Northern Lights 4.5 kW diesel generator installed.
04/01/00 — New Forward looking sonar installed.
04/01/00 — New 12V/120V refrigerator installed.
04/01/00 — new propane stove installed.
04/01/00 — A great new cold plate refrigeration system installed.
04/01/00 — New Anchor Windlass installed.
04/01/00 — New 3/8 BBB chain (100 meters) installed.
04/01/00 — New Garmin 180 chartplotter.
04/01/00 — New VHF Radio with cockpit remote installed.
04/01/00 — New ICOM 710 SSB radio installed.
04/01/00 — New tool boxes with complete inventory of hand tools purchased.
04/01/00 — New Furuno 16- mile radar installed.
09/02/00 — New sunbrella covers for hatches purchased.
10/01/00 — Carpenter repaired all damaged wood in boat.
10/01/00 — Teakwood and brass accessories added throughout
11/01/00 — New headliner installed in Salon.
11/01/00 — A German mastercraftsman custom-made mattress for captain’s cabin.
01/01/01 — New AM/FM radio, CD/ Cassette player 
04/01/01 — All port lenses replaced with new lenses and gaskets.
04/01/01 — Installation of Kiss generator
04/01/01 — Boosted battery power by doubling present amp hour capacity.
05/01/01 — All teak inside and out were refinished with 7-10 coats of varnish. (Interlux 96)
05/01/02 — Perkins engine valves set and checked out.
05/01/02 — All wood was touched up as necessary with varnish to keep it new
05/01/02 — New Lexan lenses in all hatches.

Yearly — Bottom checked out and new anti-fouling applied.

11/20/03 — New wash basins and faucets in both heads
03/01/03 — New fuel injection pump, lift pump and all fuel lines replaced for Perkins engine.

Comments

The boat contains all tools necessary for maintenance and repair, as well as numerous spare parts and rebuild kits.  Contact the owner for a complete set of pictures of the interior.  The Owner will be putting the boat in the water in September, 2004 to make the boat available for inspection.  If there is no sale by Christmas, the boat will be listed with a broker.

• Cash at closing
• Transfer of all stock in Solitaire, Inc. to the new owners.  As Solitaire is the only asset of the corporation all the buyer needs is to change the address with the process agent service.  That is it.
