From: Robert G. Chamberlain rchamber@iname.comDo you have any information on the supplier of stanchions on the 32? I need to replace a couple. Thanks.

I don't have any info on the original supplier but TOPS-IN-QUALITY made some for us that look virtually identical. They're in Marysvill, MI (810) 364-7150. They will also do custom work (ie: ladders, etc.) and seem to have a very good reputation from what I can tell.

We just had two stancions manufactured by Tops in Quality from a sample stanchion we mailed to them. They reproduced the stantion for our E40 perfictly! The quality and finish was excellent! It took about 2 weeks to turn them mfg. them and they cost about $90 each. We are very happy with the suggestion to try Tops in Quality.

From: Paul Uhl endvr32@endeavourowners.comAs an FYI, one of the owners manuals that came in recently lists the stanchion and pulpit manufacturer for Endeavour as Southcoast Marine Products. I'm not sure if they are still in business but here's their info:
Southcoast Marine Producst

Hi Paul,
. . . Southcoast was still in business when I called them last spring. At the time I asked if they had plans for the bow pulpit ("nope 79 was our first year in business") but they will "custom make", just send us the plans. Yeah Right !

From: Bill Lezotte wlezotte@indiana.eduHi,
Three years ago my wife and I bought s/v Adventure Bound a 1980 E32.She is missing most (all but one stantion) of her stern pulpit. Could someone please email to me the measurements of theirs so that I may begin rebuilding ours.I need:
-- Height of stations and number of.
-- angle of stations compared to the deck. (i.e. does it slant aft /_or straight |_)
-- Distances between stations at the top rail and at the deck. (I think I can see where they used to be but I want to be sure.)Thank you to all the participants / members of the Endeavour Forum!

Regarding the stanchions and pulpit measurements, I've sent out a note to the E32 owners. However you might check out these sources:The mfgr who originally supplied them to Endeavour was:
Southcoast Marine Products
12550 47th Way North
Clearwater, FL 33520
813-577-4821I don't know it they're still in business or if the info is still current, but if they are, they may still have the dimensions. Also, we got a new bow pulpit a number of years ago from the following source. They are reputable and have a good reputation within the industry. I don't know if they have any Endeavour information, but I'm sure they would give you some advice on how to 'properly' measure for them. There are new standards for minimum heights, etc.

Garhauer www.garhauermarine.com just made several pole and gate stanchions for my E42 renovation. I shipped them the old ones, which had bent or the welds had failed, so they could pick up the angle of each one. The angles are all different. They are the supplier to Island Packet (which has an Endevour heritage). The only difference is the ferrule for the feed through is flush. The workmanship is EXCELLENT and cheaper than Tops in Quality. Speak to Mike at (909)985-9993 garhauer@garhauermarine.com They are in California. The level of customer service is very high and turn around about a week or two. They stand behind their work and also mfg other marine products. Please post to the forum stanchion discussion. Thanks.

From: Bob Schmidt BobSchmidt@attbi.comI have a 1985 Endeavour 38.
I had an accident and needed to replace a life line and stanchion. Seco South made the original lifelines and is still in business. They can be reached at 727-536-1924. I was not as lucky with the stanchion. The original manufacturer is no longer in business. I contacted JTR Enterprises at 727-321-6321. They said that they could make a replacement. I sent them the bent stanchion and recieved a replacement and spare that are great. Price and delivery were very good. I highly recommend them and want to pass it on to other Endeavour owners. I was concerned about the stanchions be through bolted. They are not so they can be readily removed and replaced.
