Replacing E37 Bowsprits

I have just connected with a woodworker here in Puerto Rico who can duplicate the teak bowsprits that were on a lot of E-37's...he says that they crack because they are just 2 layers of wood with the grain going the same way on both layers. He can make them of several layers with a layer of fiberglass cloth sandwiched in between each laminate for strength, and they won't crack. If anybody needs one, please contact me and I'll get prices from him...he has mine to use as a template.
